Might be worth a trip out to Brooklyn then, in season! It's a small but beautiful corner of the BBG.
I've never read either of those authors, but I was very excited to see gorse bushes in real life ... which are part of the landscape in the William stories, as well as Narnia and Middle Earth.

Oh, I'd like to go there. So many bluebell woods in the books of my beloved authors Dodie Smith and Elizabeth Goudge.
